paris!

i met des bishop! i was in the airport on my way to paris
and i saw him with a guy who plays for ireland's rugby team.
clearly, i recognized des and not the rugby player. des is a
comedian who grew up in queens, ny but moved to dublin when
he was 15 and has lived here ever since. i just went to his show
two weeks ago. everyone reading this probably thinks it's not a
big deal but des bishop is a huuuuuge celebrity in ireland. haha.
the louvre.

i know this is blurry.

view from the top.
at the top of the eiffel tower.

i'm a tourist.
the view from sacre-coeur.
sacre-coeur basilica.
the last original windmill from the moulin rouge.
the moulin rouge! it's a little different from the movie, haha.
sainte-chapelle.
outside notre dame.
inside notre dame.
there she is, mona lisa.
upside down pyramid in the lourve.
arc de triomphe.
oscar wilde's grave. people pay their respects by kissing the
grave (that's what all those marks are). i don't wear lipstick,
therefore, i did not kiss his grave.
jim morrison's grave. it took me forever to find this!
jardins du luxembourg (park).
we hung out here for my last few hours in paris.

my last day at willow park.

fionn, hugo, charlie & jonathan.
the boys were too excited at the thought of taking a
picture to listen to my directions of where to go, haha.
giving the thumbs up is the cool thing to do at willow.
in this picture: mj, freddie, david & patrick.
word spread that i was still taking more pictures...
very excited = lots of thumbs up.

i have had the most amazing experience at willow park.
i couldn't have asked for a better placement. i will remember
my co-op teacher, my boys and all the friends i have made at
willow for the rest of my life. i wish i didn't have to leave!

lent service: 1st & 2nd forms.

for the second friday of lent, we had a little service in our
hallway with the other 1st form and the 2nd forms. the
first four speaking are from the other class. the last
four speaking are from my class: jonathan, luke,
robert and leo.

this was one of the songs they had to sing and that we
practiced all week. my class seems to be the only spastic ones.

no one really has to watch any of these videos
but i think this one is the funniest. the camera
may be moving a lot bc i'm dancing as well, haha.
my class is in the middle, they clearly have the best moves.

midterm break: alexandria & cario, egypt!

our egyptian tour guide, bigga. seriously, her name is
bigga. look closely at her name tag. she sounds like
the costume designer from "the incredibles" and is
probably the same height as her too.
a mosque in alexandria.
an egyptian mcdonalds. their bigmacs probably taste
different from ours seeing as pigeons are their main
source of meat. needless to say, i did not eat any meat
while i was in egypt.
i was able to get a necklace of my name in hieroglyphics.
on the bus to cairo!
i saved this shirt til egypt day so that i could rep buffalo!
the pyramids.

the last time i was in africa, i rode a camel.
i learned my lesson and stayed away this time around.
walking like an egyptian. i look like a tourist,
so i may as well act like one too.
holly, me & tracy.

up close and personal.
i couldn't resist.

unfortunately, the day we were in egypt there was a
sand storm. that's why my hair is standing straight
up. i'm surprised the pictures came out this clear.

sphinx.

making a fool out of myself.
the high class boat we rode on the nile with. in the
bottom left hand corner is our bodyguard. each tour bus
had a bodyguard on the bus and a few police car escorts
surrounding each bus. it was pretty legit. haha.
7-up.
i love buffalo on the nile.

pigeon coop.
the entertainment on the boat.
we visited the largest mosque in cairo and this is the
view outside of it. if there wasn't a sand storm we
would have been able to see the pyramids. clearly
you can see how bad of a storm it was.

midterm break: limassol, cyprus!

one of my best friends at school is nicknamed
"keo." so i was excited to see this.

we were getting quite sick of shopping.
limassol has an interesting taste in art work. this is
me sitting on some egg art.
i wish i could say that this was also just something limassol
had hanging around but carnival was about to start.
clearly i had to pose with the bizarre creature.
apparently limassol is the place to be... in the
summer months, not february.

midterm break: rhodes, greece!

rhodes port.
i definitely didn't check to see if these blocks were
stable before i climbed them. i probably should have.
street of the knights.

greek trucks make me feel like a giant.

*as you can see, there really wasn't much to do in rhodes.*
